This home in Highland Village near Lewisville Lake received a major transformation, creating a two-story outdoor space. A massive patio cover and spacious balcony now extend the outdoor space.
Before
Drop screens were strategically installed within the stone arches to shield the space from the setting sun and keep bugs at bay. Elegant chandeliers were suspended above the table to enhance the ambiance, while fans were added to provide a refreshing breeze. These thoughtful additions create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
The fire pit area accommodates 16 people and features Austin stone with color and Oklahoma flagstone. The fire glass is azuria blue, making it a perfect spot for cool evenings and memorable moments.
Our build featured an upstairs living area and a downstairs area. The covered upstairs space is 275 SF, serving as an extension of the game room and kitchen.
The balcony provides an ideal outdoor dining area on the main level, featuring smooth cedar-stained tongue and groove with darker stained beams on the ceiling.
The main level features Oklahoma flagstone flooring, with columns and arches made of the same Austin stone used upstairs. The table is built-in with legs matching the Austin stone.
The arched windows, finished with colored Austin stone, complement the high vaulted ceiling that lets in abundant light.
A wood burning fireplace adds warmth for cool days and evenings, featuring Austin stone and a small built-in bar area with Oklahoma flagstone ledges. The flooring is light walnut travertine tile.
TCP added a pergola to the outdoor kitchen, featuring stone arches for a seamless transition. The pergola is built with 4×12 rough cedar timbers and 2×4 slats.
Take in the stunning views of Highland Village from the comfort of your own balcony.
The ceiling features stained 1×6 smooth cedar tongue and groove, complemented by darker 6×6 stained cedar beams. A beautiful chandelier and ceiling fans were added for style and comfort.
