Project Timeline
How Long will my new project take?
We watch and enjoy all the home renovation shows available, but what is disclosed on television is simply not accurate (both timeline and budget). This page is designed to give homeowners in Texas realistic timelines for their new project while using best building practices.

Initial Meeting and Design (2-4 weeks)
We will always push to meet with you as quickly as possible so if you are ready to move forward, no time is wasted. Our first (initial) meeting will typically be a virtual meeting and will be followed by an on-site meeting to see your space. Over the next 1-2 weeks, your project developer will work with you to design your new space, create a detailed proposal. Depending on scope, additional time may be necessary to create your dream space
Engineering, Permitting, Selections (4-8 weeks)
After we agree to partner together, your project developer will continue their diligent work providing the engineer all the details necessary to create and stamp your plans (typically 1-2 weeks). Once your plans are sealed (stamped), they will immediately forwarded to our permit team to send to city for approval. You will typically work directly with your project developer for HOA approval. Many cities have moved to third party approvals, so many cities have increased approval times. Pool permit approval times are typically significantly reduced relative to structures, though you may need to wait for structure permit approval to begin construction (if building a structure with a pool).
While we wait for our approvals, you will work with our selections team to make material selections (pavers, granite, etc.). Please be as diligent as possible with selections as some selections have longer lead times.

Typical Project Build Time
Outdoor Structures (8-12 weeks; excluding pool houses / suites)
Outdoor structures vary significantly depending on scope, material selection lead times, weather, trade availability, and other factors. In most cases, your new outdoor structure will be ready for use in 8-12 weeks.
In Ground Pools (8-12 weeks)
In ground pools typically have a reduced permit lead time but often have a few slowdowns during the build (i.e. concrete cure after gunite/shotcrete). Not including any material selection delays, inclement weather, etc., your new pool will be ready for use in 8-12 weeks.
Please note that with custom projects, there is an almost infinite number of options which can significantly increase the build time. We love unique, challenging projects, but they will typically add to the build time. The above timelines may not apply to larger scoped projects. Complex projects with multiple builds (pool + pool suite) will typically take longer.
